buying books

here the textbooks are just so expensive. so expensive that I cant even imagine. For example, a calculus book costs about 120 USD, a statistics book costs about 130 USD, luckily there is eBay and amazon. I got my calculus book at about 40++ and the statistics book at 7.75.. amazing right.. haha

however, for the two courses I took, English and Anthropology, amazon and eBay just do not work, simply because the professors are asking for some weird books which nobody sells on eBay or amazon. and for my anthropology prof, she is so funny lah, she told us we might try buying on the internet, but we are supposed to finish chapter blah blah of book blah blah and chapter blah blah of book blah by the next lecture.. erm the next lecture is like thursday.. so if we buy online, we surely cannot finish the assignment.. >_<

and the weirdest thing is that we cannot get all textbooks at one store. like we can only get one English book at store A, and we must go to another side of the school to buy another English book there. So far I have visited 3 bookstores (not counting the online one..) and apent like 300++ USD, and yet, I have not gotten all my books.. What the hell... and according to Beverley, she spent like 500USD in buying textbooks, and she bought almost everything online.. and it is just the first term..

I swear that I will treat the books nicely and sell them all after this term..

People have asked me why my name is so damn bloody hard to pronounce, I would say it's not my problem. Just in case anyone who is interested to find out what the name actually means, here it is:

萱 pronounces as xuan, is the flower called daylily pictured above;

仲 pronounces as zhong, means I am the second child in the family
