Concert!!!

haha I just came back from concert, tired tired..

1. when I walked onto the stage, I realized that the stage crew did not put a chair for me.. so I had to wait on the stage.. the US people are seriously nice, they clapped and clapped until the stage crew sent out a chair and I sat down.. -_-|

2. as usual, I screwed up at some places, so did Michelle, but we managed to cover up for each other.. and one of the UM music prof told me it sounded great..

3. after the concert, one professor came to me and she was like "OH, GOD! YOU LOOK SO CUTE!!" then she asked me a lot about erhu and blah blah(while I desperately looked at the refreshment being consumed at an amazing speed.. sad).. after that, I heard three profs beside me were talking about me.. They were discussing how to pronounce my name!! they were like "let's go n talk to this gal and check out about her instrument.." I almost fainted when I heard the weirdest sound of my name: shun chun, shuan choon, shaun june, shuan john..

4. One gal saw my Erhu and she screamed: OMG!! Is this the Chinese Pipa? OMG it is so beautiful! awesome!!! Blah blah blah.. then Michelle told her proudly: This is called Erhu!!

5. Some US gal came to me and asked "You were from China?" I said, "Yep.." Then she asked if I speak Chinese, I said yea.. then she started to talk to me in Japanese!! I fainted when she asked "Isnt Japan part of China?"

6. After the concert, we met some music school guy (I cannot remember his name..), then he was charmed by dear Erhu, he was like "oh your instrument is sexy!!" I was quite glad to hear that. so I asked him, "what instrument do you play?" he replied "Harp and Tabla" then he asked me if I knew what tabla is, I said "yea, the drum you play with your hands right.." then I said, "it's very cute.." I meant that the tabla sounds cute lah.. but the guy blushed.. after 5 seconds, he asked me: "Is it because of my hair? I know it looks stupid, cos I cut it last week.. erm usually I do not look like this.." hahaha

People have asked me why my name is so damn bloody hard to pronounce, I would say it's not my problem. Just in case anyone who is interested to find out what the name actually means, here it is:

萱 pronounces as xuan, is the flower called daylily pictured above;

仲 pronounces as zhong, means I am the second child in the family
