Random thoughts before going to bed.

I was listening to dizi songs all night, because today is somewhat special.

Yu Xunfa passed away on 28 Jan 2006, it has been exactly one year and I listened to dizi for the whole night as a tribute to him.. (sounds weird tho). I was listening to this song called Chi4 Ri4 (hot sun)composed by Yu Xunfa, then I read the program notes about it. It was inspired by some Daoism story, and Yu Xunfa believes that "Art will turn to philosophy at certain stage." hmm well, that's one thing good of listening to something that you are not so familiar with-- you are not 100% sure about what the melody was going to be like, you cannot remember how the musician chu4 li3 the following part. This indeed make the listening process more interesting.

I am not sure if you all have the same experience. When I listened to the songs I played before, I would move my fingers when the recording goes. That's why listening to Erhu is definitely a taboo when doing math.. Oh but listening to MOTO PERPETUO is definitely fine, it just made my brain running at a much faster pace.. hehe

Oh yea, today is the first time I listened to CHMM after I came to US... hehe such sweet memories... But I still prefer Wang Ci Heng's playing leh, cos his dizi is super sweeeeet.. hehe

I was in a quite weird mood tonight actually, cos I had to blog for my English assignment. I really do not understand this old woman, she asked us to post our assignments on the blog that she forced us to set up.. I mean what's the point? This doesn't change the fact that your lessons are boring...

The midterms are coming, EECS (C++) next Wed and Econs next Thurs, I am okie with Econs, but C++... Argh.. Today GG was saying "C++ is notsomething that should be placed in a gal's brain.." But the fact is that it is eating up my limited brain space day after day.. Does that mena I am going to be less gal and less gal? Sad sia...

Oh yea, Vivian (an ABC stayed next door) was talking about this guy that day, she said "we said we are boyfriend and galfriend just because it s easy for people to understand our relationship, tho we don't think we really are.." So I was like =_=||..

haha Yea, the reason that I am blogging at 3am in the morning is thatit's Moon's 21st Birthday today!

Happy Birthday Moon. Welcome to the legal family!

People have asked me why my name is so damn bloody hard to pronounce, I would say it's not my problem. Just in case anyone who is interested to find out what the name actually means, here it is:

萱 pronounces as xuan, is the flower called daylily pictured above;

仲 pronounces as zhong, means I am the second child in the family

My Erhu, My Forever Love
