American logic!!!

I have been making tons of phone calls this few days... And I am really amused by some of the American logic...

For example, if we call some agency in Singapore and ask them what documents we will have to bring in order to open an account, they will ask you to wait for a while and they will get a whole list of stuff... But, this is what happens in US:

"What documents do I have to bring?"

"Your passport."

"That's all?"

"Yes."

"Do I have to bring my I20 form then?"

"Oh, yes!"

"Okie, my passport, and my I20. Anything else?"

"Nope, that's all you need."

"Okie. Oh well, do I need my leasing agreement?"

"Oh yes, you will have to bring them."

"Okie, passport, I20, leasing agreement, anything else?"

"No, that's all."

"Are you sure?"

"Well, just bring whatever you have..."

"Can I get a copy of my leasing agreement?"

"Sure, one moment please."

"Here it is."

"I only need the first page?"

"Yes, hmm... Wait, I think you need the second page too... One moment please."

"Here it is."

"Is that all?"

"Yes, probably... Hmm well, let me just get the entire thing for you..."
