I kept feeling miserable about my future recently... What should I do after graduation? To be exact, what will I be able to do after graduation? Maybe it is not a great idea to rush out of college- 2 years with 3 more months, that's about the time I spent in Dunman High, slightly longer than what I spent in RJC... It is definitely not long enough for one to really experience college life, it is not long enough for one to prepare for things after graduation either.
Now when I consider it, I do not have much choice after graduation... Going to post-graduate school, probably... I wont mind spend say 1 or 2 more years in school to get a master degree. The problem is, many of the good schools only offer master degree to those who cannot complete PhD study... That is to say, if I want to go to the better schools, if I want a scholarship, I better do a Permanent Head Damage. Then, there is also problem about what to do in graduate school. Well, personally I wont mind doing a master degree in Stats, Applied Stats, Econ, or Applied Econ. It's just I do not mind, quite different from I desperately want to do something. Also, there are fancy stuff like financial engineering, MBA and etc. They all sounds like a nice combination of what I am learning now, but what I feel is that, I have even less interest in those disciplines than what I am doing currently... If I do not go to graduate school immediately after graduation, there are problems, too... Should I take GRE next Apr? the result will only remain valid for two years. Most importantly, where can I find a job? The more job research I do, the more hopeless I can feel. haiz... a quote from Zhang Chen... "If I cannot find a husband after graduation, the worst thing, Xuanxuan, we do PhD together.." Yes... Permanent Head Damage together! |

People have asked me why my name is so damn bloody hard to pronounce, I would say it's not my problem. Just in case anyone who is interested to find out what the name actually means, here it is: 萱 pronounces as xuan, is the flower called daylily pictured above; 仲 pronounces as zhong, means I am the second child in the family 弦弦诉人意,弓弓道世情
