STATS experiments

I am a bit speechless by what we did during the lab session today... Basically we tried to examine if the dog breed and the vet that they attend has an effect on their bone density loose, and whether treatments like feeding Ca will help to reduce the loss in bone density...

It is a quite high level analysis as it involves many factors that might affect the final outcome- what we did before was at most about two factors.. At first I thought we were going to download the data of simply input by hand, but, what we really did was a randomized experiment... The instructor randomly assign dog breeds to students, then we use computer programs to generate bone density loss, breed effect, vet effect based on specific distributions, after which he collect the data and let us do the analysis... So, I became an Akita went to the vet called Paws, and receives treatments of Ca+ exercise, and the bone density loss per annum is 150.4??

That was not the exciting part, when the instructor said, "now tell the class what breed you are, which vet you attend and your bone density per annum", we started hearing things like

"Hi I am a Beagle from Bark, I loose 120.4 bone density every year..."

"Oh sh*t, I loose so much bone density, I must be dying soon!!'

"You are a Collie? Me too!! Yay"

"Do you Dalmations loose bone density so easily?"

"Wah, you din loose much, what did you eat?"
"Annamaet Ultra..."
"but they taste disgusting..."
"eh... How do you know?"

"All Beagles, raise your hand..."

"Now, everyone from(cant be heard) bark!!"
then silence, absolute silence

Okie, refer to my previous post about mad stats people- obviously, undergoing this kind of experiments will not do much helping one to keep mind in the right state..

People have asked me why my name is so damn bloody hard to pronounce, I would say it's not my problem. Just in case anyone who is interested to find out what the name actually means, here it is:

萱 pronounces as xuan, is the flower called daylily pictured above;

仲 pronounces as zhong, means I am the second child in the family
