A trip to the Stats department

This is my 2nd trip there despite being a statistics major... Anyway, think will have to do it more often in the future- as the courses getting harder, going to meet instructor after class is definitely a must... Well, Stats department is such a pathetic department with probably as many students as professors... And we do not have our own department building, Stats department is located at a deserted place, sharing half a corridor with some what what blah blah engineering- sorry, the long names of engineering does not make sense to me at all..

Basically, walking into the Stats department unaccompanied is quite scary, the corridor is so empty and so quiet that you cant hear anything. BUT, seeing some people moving around does not make you feel any better- everyone in the Stats department has that kind of mysterious, empty, blind, mechanical smile in their face, which is even more scary.. Argh!!!

My overall impression to the Stats department is more like some factories by the aliens... (and the professors and graduate students there looks like products of the factory) Okie, I am not saying I am normal, after one hour there, I think I have already become a semi product, too. If I go to one more session, which I am sure I will, I will be a final product of the aliens too.. Yeex.. So, if next time anybody sees stupid me walking around like a ghost floating in the midair, walk away... (No rotten eggs thank you.)

Oh, yes. The stats computing professor happened to be an academic advisor too.. So talked to him about my courses planning and Honors program... I just realized that 9 more credits, I will be done with Stats. AND, the best thing is that I have completed the hardest course for Stats honors degree in Spring.. So, I will only need one project next semester in order to get the honors. Yay!! Marching on my way to graduation, then find a nice job, and meet some Mr Nice, Charming, and Right(Thanx to Mrs Lee's reminder), and many many more things in my life.. Yeex

Kie, going back to the almighty R!! Hugs everyone, MAF coming! =p

ps: Shall I post some photos of the stats department next time?

People have asked me why my name is so damn bloody hard to pronounce, I would say it's not my problem. Just in case anyone who is interested to find out what the name actually means, here it is:

萱 pronounces as xuan, is the flower called daylily pictured above;

仲 pronounces as zhong, means I am the second child in the family
