It has been a while since I last updated my blog. Well, the new semester had started two weeks ago and it is not fun at all to be in the last year of college.
The academic load is so heavy! I am taking Data Mining, Survey Sampling and Time Series Analysis for Stats this semester; for Econs, I am doing an honors seminar about PSID (Panel Study of Income Dynamics) data. I have been telling myself that I am lucky in a sense that I am doing something that I really like- though I could not imagine that I would actually enjoy statistics... But the amount of work is just... Argh, not say tons of assignments, they just take forever to read, to think and to write the programs. Esp for the Time Series Analysis class, which is designed for graduate students, I am struggling. I am feeling great though, the R program I wrote has caused my laptop to break down every half an hour- even the super computer in STATS lab has been tortured by my data set and program. Once, after sending one command to the program, I went to cook my dinner, by the time I finished my dinner, my laptop gave up... ARGH... Besides class work, the application to graduate school, choice of graduate programs, internship application and standardized tests... I am gonna mad... Nxt monday is MLK monday, so can rest for 4 days!! (I do not have class on Friday.. =)) |

People have asked me why my name is so damn bloody hard to pronounce, I would say it's not my problem. Just in case anyone who is interested to find out what the name actually means, here it is: 萱 pronounces as xuan, is the flower called daylily pictured above; 仲 pronounces as zhong, means I am the second child in the family 弦弦诉人意,弓弓道世情
