I was listening to RJCO rehearsal recording just now. Then I fwd the link to the Dizi Huiling. Both of us were like WOW...

Seriously, we did WOW... CO seems so far away from my life, now it is filled with the mu sigma, micro and macro and etc. The night practices, the SYF and concerts at PAC, at Esplanade, all the memories are buried under piles of textbooks and notes...

I was thinking, RJCO is not about the SYF, not about any specific concert at all. The competition, the awards, the concert themselves are nothing. What made it so special for many of us is simply the fact that we went through it together. I guess for me personally, what I gained from RJCO is the friendship, is the ability to appreciate Chinese music, and the sense of achievement when all of us worked so hard towards a common goal as a group.

Two years ago, I was really upset by the fact that I may not be able to play my erhu regularly in the later part of my life, even I can manage to play a few minutes from time to time, I will never be able to maintain the standard that once I used to play at. But now I do think as long as playing brings me utility, it doesn't matter how well I play or how often I play. I can just keep going with my love to my erhu.

Wish all the juniors a big success in their concert! I guess the only junior I know in the current RJCO is Xiaoxue? Haha I feel old...

Anyway, I am in a really cheerful mood now. Thanks so much for bringing all the sweet memories back from the reality of mu sigma...

People have asked me why my name is so damn bloody hard to pronounce, I would say it's not my problem. Just in case anyone who is interested to find out what the name actually means, here it is:

萱 pronounces as xuan, is the flower called daylily pictured above;

仲 pronounces as zhong, means I am the second child in the family

My Erhu, My Forever Love
