Art Fair in Ann Arbor
Something funny first..I was checking my calendar this morning, then I saw reminders like "turn in the analysis", "wish xunqi happy birthday" and in the third row, I marked three huge "!!!" and a word "Finish" beside it. I was pretty confused cos I don't remember anything to be finished...
I only found out just now, the milk I bought two weeks ago expires today, so I marked on the canlendar to remind myself to finish the milk... (I finished it last Sunday. so no wonder I forgot..) Hahaha
Yep, Happy Birthday Xunqi!
============================
The Art Fair started today, but the set up work started on Monday morning. Now I have to walk across half of the central campus to the office cos most of the streets are closed for outdoor exhibitions. It is sort of surprising to see how a small and quiet town like Ann Arbor can house such a huge crowd.
One thing I really found funny is that it seems all the food vendors attract more attention then the artists. Besides the food, it's the clothes sale. I got three pairs of shades today, cos it's buy 1 get 2 free...
Then I was talking to my friend, some people said money can't buy you happiness, but I do think that money can buy the food and other stuff that can make me happy. Or I should simply say, spending money brings utility to me! I remember in one of the Economics class I took last year, the professor mentioned that one assumption in a simple model was that "holding money brings utility". I don't really agree with that. If I have a few million bucks and all I can do is to look at the money or count the money or even sleep on the money, I won't be so happy. But if you allow me to go out with five bucks and I get a smoothie or an icecream, I would be really happy. My friend was like, "You are pretty easily satisfied then... " hehe yep, maybe I am...
yawn, I am going to bed... Really sleepy now...
